1. Information We Collect

TipVote is designed around data minimization. We only collect the minimal information necessary to deliver live voting and pledge functionality:

• Creator Information: Channel handle, display name, public avatar URL, banner URL, YouTube link, subscriber count, and Stripe Connect account ID.
• Fan Information: Display username (optional/pseudonymous), suggested YouTube URL, nomination title, and pledged amounts.
• Payment Data: All credit card details are handled directly by Stripe. TipVote never receives, processes, or stores raw payment card numbers.

2. Browser LocalStorage & Cookie Use

TipVote uses client-side localStorage strictly for user convenience and frictionless experience:

• Caching your preferred display username so you do not need to retype it with each vote.
• Storing valid member/patron passcodes on this device.
• Maintaining your private voter history drawer so you can track your active pledge holds.
• Zero Third-Party Advertising: We do not use advertising trackers, marketing cookies, or behavioral profiling.

3. Third-Party Service Providers

We partner with established third-party providers to power core functionality:

• Stripe: Payment processing, fraud prevention, and creator destination payouts under PCI-DSS Level 1 compliance.
• YouTube oEmbed: Resolving public video titles, thumbnails, and author information when suggestions are submitted.

4. Data Retention & User Rights

You have the right to inspect, modify, or request deletion of your information. Because voter history is stored locally in your browser, you can clear it at any time by clearing your browser storage or site cookies. For questions regarding privacy practices, contact support@tipvote.com.
